Jesus tells us in Matthew 5 that we are THE SALT of the earth. Like seasoning, salt brings flavor to whatever you put it on. "Saltiness" is godliness. The more time we spend with Jesus, the "saltier" we get. And we get to bring His goodness everywhere that we go, to all that we encounter. 

As much as it is encouraging, it's also convicting. Wearing and seeing this reminder keeps us accountable to living how Jesus has called us to, how we are leading, and how we are raising our children.
